This unique armchair from the Banian furniture Collection created by APPARTEMENT2, a product studio based in Reunion Island, embodies engineering, modernity, and practicality in a small package. Caroline Grondin and Guillaume Avarguez have designed the chair inspired by nature and relief of Reunion Island.

Its shape takes a cue from a Banyan tree that develops its roots through its branches. The armchair combines wood, metal, and textile in a way that neatly marries form and function. The armrests are made of tamarind wood with a natural satin finish, while the supporting legs are made of black-painted metal to complement the wooden finish.

The Banian armchair features a soft cushioned seat and two rounded pillows for back support, which ensure comfort while seating. The Banian chair has uniquely-designed metal legs that not only make it sturdy and durable for everyday use but also add a cool aspect to the design.
