The Baselamp by Luke Lamp Co. is a sleek LED light that has the capacity to turn any object into a light fixture. The cleverly assembled lamp not only provides versatility and practicability but also gives your imagination wings. The lamp is designed in a way that it can turn anything into your personal light fixture, whether it’s a glass, fish bowl, whiskey bottle, or any other glass object; just place it on the lamp and watch it glow.

Baselamp comes with a chip-on-board 4-watt LED and a touch-capacitive dimmer switch. The minimalist lamp is premeditated to provide 410 lumens of super bright light. The upper face is made using bamboo and solid walnut wood, which is then shaped with the help of CNC machine to make it look like a wooden hard drive and the lower face is made from solid aluminum heat sink base. It has a beautiful linseed oil finish on it.

The Baselamp has an integrated Makrolon Lumen XT poly-carbonate diffuser, touch-sensitive control panel to adjust brightness and a plug-in-power adapter. The flat face of the lamp easily balances your favorite object over it to create a magically ambient environment inside the room. According to Luke Kelly (owner, and designer of the lamp), it took him almost one and a half year to get the final face of the lamp because focus area was to add creativity, versatility, and ease of use to the final product.

The lighting fixture has been successfully funded on Kickstarter, surpassing the $30,000 funding goal. You can also be part of Luke’s success by purchasing Baselamp in either of the two finishes – bamboo or walnut which are priced at $119 and $129 respectively.
