BD Barcelona in collaboration with design gallery CASA VALLE has brought renowned Catalan architect and designer Antoni Gaudí’s Modernisme to NYCxDesign 2025 with launch of a limited edition of the Batlló Chair in ebony stain. Limited to 50 pieces, this exclusive release pays homage to Gaudí’s design legacy while embracing contemporary craftsmanship.

Gaudí designed the Batlló Chair for the dining room of Casa Batlló, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its flowing curves blend beauty and function. The modern version of the Batlló Chair, finished in ebony stain, highlights its smooth, elegant lines. The dark finish adds a refined touch, combining traditional design with a modern feel. Full of Gaudí’s artistic spirit, the chair celebrates craftsmanship, creativity, and nature.

Each chair is an exact reproduction of the original, handcrafted using the same traditional methods and materials. Its curved legs, contoured seat, and ergonomic backrest reflect Gaudí’s dedication to both comfort and design. Certified by the director of the Gaudí Chair, this limited edition series continues the brand’s legacy of expressive and functional design.
