Have you ever noticed the mesmerizing reflection effects underneath a bridge when sunlight bounces off the moving surface of water? Inspired by these moving light patterns, Fernando Correa creative director of WAW COLLECTION has created the BE WATER Lamp. It is a recessed kinetic LED lamp that reminds of water by projecting light waves onto a wall.

The BE WATER Lamp comprises a motor block unit, an anodized aluminum base support module with an LED light source, and a cylindrical borosilicate glass with an irregular surface, which provides the desired water reflection effect as light from the LEDs pass through it.

The outcome of the lamp is overly dramatic, but the concept is very simple. The irregularly created borosilicate glass tube rotates on its axis over the LED light source. Light emitted through the glass cylinder, as an effect of refraction, appears like the sunrays dancing underneath the bridge or on the hull of a ship.

If the creative effect is not enough to impress you, the BE WATER lamp even includes a room fragrance and a QR Code. Scanning the code you can connect to four pre-provided relaxing music playlists. The stimulus of fragrance and music is included for a multisensory experience.

BE WATER Lamp can be purchased from a minimum of one to a maximum of five modules per motor. This interesting design bagged the Red Dot Design Award 2021.
