Birdwatching in a fast-changing world now seems a privilege. Thanks to a multitude of smart bird feeders that can identify a wide variety of avian species, we can now sit on our table and enjoy the antics of feathered friends around the yard, day or night. But something was missing all this time, a way to watch and admire the diminutive birds we know as hummingbirds. The tiny species move at such breathtaking speed that typical smart bird feeders often capture nothing but blurry pictures or videos. To deal with this bit of chaos, Birdfy has created its Hum Bloom smart feeder, specifically designed for hummingbirds.
Unveiled at CES 2026, Birdfy Hum Bloom helps you watch and enjoy tiny visitors with its powerful 8MP camera, which captures every little detail in stunning 4K. Not only that, the new hummingbird feeder captures mesmerizing 120fps slow-motion videos, with every wingbeat in picture-perfect detail. You can glimpse the 80-beat-per-second flap of a hummingbird’s wings; how cool is that?
The sleek smart bird feeder features a sleek, thoughtful design that seamlessly blends in your yard and offers a no-mess refilling and cleaning. Birdfy’s LLM-powered OrniSense AI can recognize over 150 species, all the while capturing shareable discoveries and moments.
Its stable outdoor setup is built to sit in your garden or balcony, attracting the tiny flutterers. Designed to hang from a tree branch or on other support, Birdfy Hum Bloom has a flower-like design with a hydraulic system that pumps nectar into the feeding bulb. The bloom-like bulb attracts hummingbirds to sip from the feeding tube, which is strategically positioned in frame so you can marvel at their beauty.
The sensors keep track of the nectar levels and send alerts to the Birdfy mobile app when the feeder needs refilling. There is an “ant moat” above the feeder that helps prevent the nectar-loving insects from swarming the feeder, keeping it designated property for the hummingbirds.
