Amazon-owned brand Blink continues to focus on offering affordable home security devices. To bring its premium video capabilities to an accessible price point, the company has expanded its 2K product lineup, announced last fall. The new members are Blink Wired Doorbell 2K+ and Blink Battery Doorbell 2K+, which aim to bring improved video quality and image performance, allowing homeowners to see more detail.
Priced at just $50 in the U.S., Blink’s first wired-only doorbell is meant to deliver always-on power and upgraded performance. Designed for homes with existing doorbell wiring, the doorbell features 2K resolution and improved dynamic range, allowing the user to see clearer detail in challenging conditions. Furthermore, the enhanced audio allows clearer two-way talk.
Amazon has also launched the Blink Battery Doorbell 2K+ for those who prefer flexible installation. With an onboard battery, it can be positioned in different places as needed. It builds on the previous generation with meaningful upgrades. It also features 2K resolution, a head-to-toe field of view that helps customers see visitors and packages clearly. The improved dynamic range offers better visibility in bright or low-light environments.
With person detection, it sends you motion-activated notifications when someone is detected. The doorbells also benefit from smarter alerts, but this feature is available only in the U.S. It requires a Blink AI Basic or Blink AI Plus subscription that offers cloud-based smart video descriptions.
This feature provides concise summaries of motion events, helping customers quickly understand what’s happening at their front door without needing to watch the entire clip. For example, you do not get a simple motion notification, but you receive a description summarizing what occurred during that specific period of time.

Whether you get a wired or battery version, the new Blink 2K video doorbells are designed for quick installation and seamless integration with the Blink ecosystem. You can also view live video, receive alerts, and manage your devices through the Blink app.
