Working from home for some part of my initial days in blogging, I always thought of designing myself a table wherein I could keep may laptop safely without it being noticed, since drawer was just so obvious. I didn’t manage to conjure up anything positive; looks like designer Gabriele Rosa had something similar in mind. The Italian designer has created Calamo writing desk for Zanotta. An ideal furnishing accessory for any home office, the Camalo desk is made in varnished steel frame with black, chrome or graphite top. On the surface, the desk has storage space with drop-leaf opening, which can be used to tuck away your iPad or other mobile devices.

The main idea behind designing the dynamic, multi-functional table is to target young professionals who work out of their home office and want a desk which allows them to compete with the mainstream without sacrificing style and grace. Measuring 130 x 45 x 76 cm (width, depth, height), the Calamo desk by Gabriele Rosa is available for € 1.282 (approx. $1730).
