French brand Trone Paris is known for its bold colors and unique shapes in bathroom space, and the Callipyge wall-mounted model is a great example of its creative design approach. With Salone del Mobile on the way, the brand is all prepared to showcase its latest products, along with some recently launched products that are still fresh for the audience.
Case in point is the Celeste, which does not look like a regular tap; rather, it features a unique flat, rounded shape that looks more like a sculpture. If described in simple words, it is a countertop mixer tap that redefines bathroom aesthetics with its monumental proportions and distinctive water delivery.
The tap features a unique shape designed to evoke the imagery of a celestial eclipse. Ideally, taps are smaller than any washbasin, but here is a different case. Each unit comprises a large, semi-circular brushed stainless steel panel that resembles a partially visible sun or moon and a small, circular cutout within the upper curve of the tap’s “disc” that serves as the “Eclipse” handle.
When you start turning the handle, it only increases the water flow at first. Once you turn it past halfway, it begins mixing hot and cold water, so the temperature gradually changes. What makes it more effective is the water dispensing. It releases a “curtain of water” composed of seven sprays.

The Celeste tap is made of stainless steel and is completely hand-welded to complement its unique shape that also defines its name. It is designed as a statement piece that reimagines the role of a traditional tap through a sculptural, geometric form. It appears solid and massive at first sight, but is actually made of a hollow 15 mm-thick shell.
Trone Paris follows the same philosophy of utilizing innovative colors and unconventional silhouettes for its washbasins, like the Orbe model. This round basin is perfect for adding a sculptural character and softness to any modern bathroom.
