After returning home in the evening from your hectic office schedule, you often think of going home and relax on the couch or take a soothing bubble bath. But, as you enter the home, forgetting about relaxation you often turn right to the kitchen to cook dinner for your family. You also want the meal that you cook to taste good, and therefore can’t leave the grill unattended. then you sometimes wish that you could communicate with your grill and instruct it to prepare the meal according to your taste and preferences. Well, with the Smart Grill at your home, this wish of yours can definitely turn into realiy. California based company Lynx Grills has announced their new voice-activated concept grill, dubbed as the Smart Grill at the International CES 2014 in Las Vegas.

The Smart Grill works with a Wi-Fi connection. After being connected, it asks the users a few questions like the best cooking time, technique and even where the items should go. If you need to cook the food according to some recipe, the smart grill connects to the recipe database, gives you instructions and sends SMS at key times, including when it’s time to flip the food. It’s capability of remembering how you best like your food is the smartest feature of this grill. For instance, you can ask the Smart Grill for your meat to be rare, medium or well done or give specific instructions like “cook it exactly like last time, but add 30 seconds more time to each side.” You’ll get your meat cooked exactly as you want. And you would also have to request it to turn on with a voice command “Smart Grill, preheat now.”

The Smart Grill saves enough of your time. Moreover, you would not have to linger around the grill the entire cooking time to prepare the dish of your taste. It remembers how you cooked your dish in the past and cooks your present dish specifically to your taste. You can also prepare the meals that you haven’t even tried before on this grill by accessing Lynx’s recipe database via the accompanying app. You can prepare various dishes like lobster tail or chicken tikka masala or filet mignon making it far better than a professional chef.

On not hearing any instructions for 30 minutes, the Smart Grill turns off automatically. You can also turn it off remotely, but you need to be nearby to turn the appliance on. if you are tempted to buy this master chef for your home you would have to wait till next year as this concept grill is expected to hit the market in 2015.
