The home security drones will be designed to navigate independently through the property, and its actions will be triggered by motion detection or a sudden noise. It flies through the property and sends a high-resolution video feed of any disturbance in the home to owner’s smartphone. It detects unusual activities through data collected from smart home devices and built-in sensors. Whether something happens inside or outside of your home, this self-navigating drone will autonomously fly to that place for capturing video and sending it directly to your phone.

Hugo Swart, senior director, product management, Qualcomm Technologies Inc. said;

The Qualcomm Snapdragon Flight platform pushes the boundaries of the drone industry and has led to many new form factors and use cases, and Alarm.com, with its security expertise, is taking commercial and residential security systems to the next level by integrating intelligent and cutting edge drones to its solutions

The newly-released Insights Engine of the company is an innovative concept as it helps in identifying any unusual activity through applying machine-learning algorithms to the growing data set generated by devices and sensors in a connected property. As per now, Alarm.com has not decided name and release date of the video-enabled security drone. It will work as an automatic navigator of your home. The whole idea seems great, and the people wanting it will have to wait until it is launched publicly.
