The symbiosis between creativity and sustainability often results in an endeavor to serve better by keeping futurism in mind. Acne Studio, a Stockholm-based fashion brand, takes the lead with its remarkable work and a much-talked-about product the gigantic rubber chairs made from recycled tires. Envisioned by the Estonian artist Villu Jaanisoo, these large sculptural furniture pieces called ‘Chairs in Rubber’ are crafted using recycled tires.

Reckoning designer’s ‘Inflated Artwork’, the Chairs in Rubber expansively flaunt their style and material. Expressing a passionate reason for working with tires, their toughness, and their resistance to change impacted the designer’s eagerness to work with the material.

The chairs’ gleaming and dark façade is spellbound with its mammoth form that embodies some melting object or creature taking up monstrous proportions. Unveiling its off-white Fall/Winter 2024 Collection at the Paris Fashion Week, the robust rubber chairs contrasted the delicate and otherwise colored environment.
