This stunning piece of architecture is designed by Canada-based architectural firm McFarlane Biggar in a surrounding Cliffside on Gambier Island, British Columbia. The architects have designed a contemporary home for a Vancouver-based family of four in middle of the woods to spend weekend away from city. The two-story cabin is composed of two boxes which offers enough space for relaxing inside while viewing the beautiful landscape from inside.

Exterior of the house is made of wood, cement board, deck and glass walls offering inside view of the house. The wooden deck has a glass fencing all around it where you can relax while gazing at the surrounding water and dense forest. All the material used in constructing this cabin can be easily assembled and has an ability to meet environmental standards. The cabin is eco-friendly as this structure lightly touch the landscape to lessen its impact on surrounding area.

Talking about its interior, the whole house is lined with wooden flooring and ceiling with white walls. It includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living area, dining area and kitchen, all with a contemporary outlook providing necessary luxurious facilities to the owner even in such a remote location.

Moreover, this off the grid location has independent sources of heat and electricity, and is only accessible by water; visitors can travel here by a private boat. Thus, offering privacy and peaceful environment to the owner far from hustle and bustle of a city life. The Cliffside contemporary hideaway is nothing short of luxury, modern touch and natural beauty.
