It has been seven months since Russian invasion of Ukraine and you can predict its impacts on the local design fraternity. There may be tough times due to the war; however, it can’t hinder design and art industry from flourishing. Take the example of Ukrainian designer Dmitry Kozinenko, who is still coming up with new furniture designs and his latest creation looks really fantastic.

If you are someone who likes a bit of frivolity and playfulness in everyday life, you will surely love the quirky Connect Table by the Ukrainian designer.

Conceived in dual-tones, this table comprises four interconnecting pieces. If you only assemble the two pieces, it appears more like an incomplete puzzle. But when you connect all the four pieces together, it forms up a sturdy and functional table that’s ideal for home or office.

Assembling the table is quite easy, you just need to figure out how to put up the pieces together. As seen in pictures, the furniture piece is made from wood and the fun touch of color on the top of each piece adds a unique touch at the same time.

With the Connect Table, Dmitry has given a lighthearted approach to the idea of modularity. Probably, he wants to send an indirect message to have some fun anywhere we are. Sometimes it can be anywhere, even at the table where we work.

The modular concept the table makes it both interesting and a tad confusing. Hence, we feel that a part of its narrative is based on our everyday life at home or office. It gives a whole new meaning to the overall design but doesn’t take away its actual purpose. Check out the full project at Behance.
