“Designing a new piece is an interesting challenge every time. I just love designing and creating something new,” said Deniz Aktay in an interview with Homecrux a couple of weeks back. The German-based designer is so good at what he does that we are compelled to cover his designs and leave you to drool over them. Well, it’s another week and another design by Deniz Aktay is here to grace our timeline.

This time around, the Stuttgart-based designer has introduced the Moon side table which is a minimal and modern take on furniture. As you scroll through the pictures, you’d realize the simplicity of the elements shaping the side table.

Basically, there are two identical bent plywood sheets that support the glass top identical to the Converse coffee table earlier introduced by the designer. “The special arrangement generates a very lightweight but also very dynamic appearance. In some perspectives it almost looks like a turning torero,” says Deniz.

Another aspect that makes Moon side table unique is its ever changing appearance, depending on the viewing angle. From the top angle, you’d not get a clear idea of what the structure actually is. However, when viewed from the front, it appears to be a stylish furniture piece that can be used in entrance or even in the living area.
