Some people are of the notion that fashion and design don’t belong together, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Fashion and home design go hand in hand, often serving as muse to one another. Embodying this notion, Dior Maison has unveiled a new series of Corolle lamps, which references the structure of the Corolle skirt.

Reinterpreting couture codes and craftsmanship, the Corolle lamps are designed by Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance as part of the Dior collaboration. The lamp translates the atelier’s fashion ethos into functional objects for the home, which carry its quiet luxury and sophistication.

Mirroring sweeping skirts, the lamps have two distinct elements: the glass bells made in Murano, Italy, and the madake bamboo baskets woven in Kyoto, Japan. Some of the lamps bear the cannage patterns as well, lending them the distinct look of a pleating, draping skirt.

“We explored different engraving techniques, as well as glass pleating, which involves using ridged molds and then creating a wave effect by twisting the glass while blowing it. There’s also the sandblasted version, which is the simplest, and mano volante, which is a special technique where you shape the glass while it’s still hot, just out of the mold, to create this effect as if wind were moving through the object, like it might stir a skirt,” the designer shared with WWD.

Using the mouth-blown glass technique in the Murano tradition, the designs focus on material craftsmanship, falling in line with this year’s theme of materiality at Salone del Mobile. Since each piece is handmade, the result in textural and form disparities is evident, which only contributes to their luxurious appeal.

When the lamps are lit, the projections through the textured glass create enticing interplays of light and shadows. The lighting fixtures are available in table and portable versions, allowing flexibility of placement.

The collection employs Dior’s signature color palette of gray, pink, and white. Marked with engraved details, the Corolle lamps are the perfect amalgamation of ingenuity, excellence, and quiet luxury, elements Dior is known for. Aside from Dior, Hermès and Louis Vuitton have also unveiled their home object collections at the 2026 Salone del Mobile, exhibiting how fashion brands are more than clothing and accessories.
