You can use colored wax or plain soy wax with a black crayon to get the desired effect. A perfect contender for a scary ensemble, this DIY black Halloween candle is an absolute delight to behold.

Materials Required:

  • Glass container
  • Wick
  • Soy wax (colored or plain)
  • Pigment for desired color or crayons
  • Pan and a spoon

DIY Black Halloween Candle

  • Dump the black wax or plain wax in a pan over medium heat to melt
  • Add the black crayon if you do not have black wax or pigment for the color
  • If you want fragrance, you can add an essential oil of choice to the melted wax
  • Next, place the wick and dump some red wax chunks in the glass container
  • Then pour the black melted wax over the red wax chunks
  • Add more red wax pieces on top to give it a gory look
  • To complete the scary and bloody ensemble, drip some melted red wax outside the container
  • And there you go! You can adorn it with a ribbon or lace if you want to gift it or make it more festive
