I am going through a bit of ghost obsession these days, consequently creating multiple ghost Halloween decorations. Each has turned out better than the last and brought forth the whimsical side in me. Take these twin ghost tealight clay candleholders for instance. I call them Sandler and Adam. These clay candleholders are incredibly easy to make and so adorable that you can even make them a part of your Christmas decorations as well.
I am sharing the DIY process here so you can replicate these cute ghosts to hold your tealights this season. Don’t worry, you can make them in under 10 minutes, with a day of air drying.
Materials Needed:
- Air dry clay
- Rolling pin
- Paper cups
- Wood skewer
Prep Time: Not necessary
Active Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes plus a day of drying time
Difficulty Level: Incredibly Easy
How to Make Ghost Tealight Clay Candleholders for Halloween
Take two balls of air dry clay and flatten them out on a surface. Then cut two circles from it.
Place the circles atop upside-down paper cups. Adjust the circle to make folds of a sheet ghost.
Now take a skewer, poke it through the clay to make circular motions to create eyes.
And that is it. You need to let it dry overnight. Once dried, you can display it on your fireplace mantle, tabletop, or anywhere else you think might benefit from a friendly ghostly presence.
