We might have discussed tons of camping trailers that were made by a team of designers and were built in a proper manufacturing unit. Today, we will introduce you to a camping teardrop trailer made by Craig using Harbor Freight cargo trailer frame. Drawing inspiration from hundreds of camping trailers online, reading and watching about them; Craig decided to build a trailer of his own. He set out to build a lightweight camper, which could be easily pulled by a pickup truck.

Starting from scratch, Craig first ordered accessories like AC, television, mattress alongside other stuff, and built the trailer around it. This might sound awkward at the first, but Craig broke the glass ceiling to give his design a comfy shape. This camping trailer features a full rear tailgate kitchen with all the necessities and a sofa that can be pulled out to become a bed.

FRP Fiberglass and plywood was extensively used for the construction particularly for their water-resistance properties. Aluminum trimming was specifically done in order to shape the back and front door. The cargo door however was brought from a shopping website, but Craig had to modify those locks to make it passenger-friendly for the users. Windows are made up of plexiglass with tinted mirrors. The frames of the windows were brought bought online.

However, the biggest highlight of this trailer is six solar panels powering two separate batteries for televisions, a 5000BTU air conditioner and a propane shower. The camping trailer is also equipped with two seven gallons freshwater tanks. There is a separate wooden frame for underground wiring and to hide electric wiring, water and sink pipelines.

The hatch of the camper opens up to accommodate a fully-fledged kitchen. The kitchen has all the basic necessities from refrigerator to microwave oven. The sink faucet is connected to a 12-volt pump for cold water and a two-burner stove takes care of cooking requirements. In addition, there is Velcro storage for pots and pans and other utensils.

Moreover, the kitchen also has two solar panel lights that light up at night in case you get a midnight craving. A 24-inch flat panel television inside the living space and a two Bluetooth speaker stereo make it look like a little abode. The camper weighs around 600 pounds and measures 41-inches in height, eight feet in length.
