The dog’s nesting shelter is enclosed in a sleek, high-gloss white shell, delivering durability and high-performance, protecting the voyager from the rigors of space.

The architectural firm drew prompts from Veneer Panton’s VP Globe Pendant, Eero Aarnio’s Ball Chair, and NASA’s lunar landing vehicles, fashioning a high-tech, space-themed dog kennel. The design elements are highlighted in the smooth and sculptural geometry, engineered with meticulous precision and playful expression, making the pod look as visually arresting as it is practical.
Grimshaw’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in the Dog Space Shelter 06 kennel. Its interior is crafted from a repurposed aluminum and cast-steel skeletal frame. The skeletal frame is repurposed from Grimshaw’s Profile One shelving system, designed for the Mabeg headquarters building in Germany. The maker ensures your furry friend gets all the comforts of home, even in deep space, while reducing carbon footprint. The outer shell is 3D printed in-house, lending the piece its signature floating disc form.
