There are various IKEA products that have been hacked over the years by many creative heads. You might remember how beautifully a DIYer had refurbished IKEA FALSTER outdoor dining table set. Here is a DUKTIG doll bed hack originally featured at IKEA Hackers.
After seeing photos of a cat bunk bed, DIYer (Kelly) decided to make one by himself. He began by attaching two separate IKEA DUKTIG doll beds and turning them into a cat bunk bed. These are mini-doll beds and thus fit only small-sized cats. The Process in brief:
- Arrange two IKEA DUKTIG doll beds to form a bunk bed
- You’ll need wood screws and mending plates
- Attach mending plates to posts of a bed and then to the second one
- Furnish with bedding and the DIY cat bunk is ready
