Instead of replacing it for pricey outdoor furniture, he decided to restore it, and the final result is so beautiful and sturdy that it might withstand for the next five to ten years.
The idea of hacking IKEA FALSTER outdoor dining table was simple-as-go – after he found that the original polystyrene plastic slats were just screwed on the aluminum frame, which meant it was easy to remove. He arranged some solid oak wood slats and replaced the plastic slats with them.
