The world is full of overtly sophisticated, well-heeled, and lazy people to hold a broom and a mop to clean their own floors. We need a robot vacuum cleaner to do that for us, and I don’t blame the people or the culture, because that is apparently where we are heading as a generation since we barely find time from scrolling feed.

Loafing on the couch and binge-watching all day is fun and games until you have a home to clean. But, if you are opulent enough to spend $1,999, cleaning shouldn’t be much of a problem, since robotic vacuum cleaners come as your personal drudge to help you in this endeavor.

Now, one would argue that only a dolt would spend $1,199 on a robot vacuum cleaner when the iRobot Roomba j7+ Robot Vacuum – hailed as one of the finest vacuum cleaners – would cost you less than a thousand bucks is a damn good alternative. But with Amazon acquiring Roomba-maker iRobot (and possibly sneaking into your home), things are a little topsy-turvy for Roomba at the moment. This gives an edge to the UK-based company Dyson, which has announced a range of appliances in a mission to clean your home, with 360 Vis Nav being the biggest highlight of the line-up.

The announcement didn’t come as a surprise as nearly seventeen months ago, a new Dyson robot vacuum cleaner was revealed in FCC filing. It looked like a much flatter and wider version of the company’s 360 Heurist robot vacuum which Dyson touted to be super-powerful. But it was bashed in reviews for its hefty price tag. Despite heavy criticism, Dyson is having another go at the robot vacuum market with much riding on 360 Vis Nav.

As per the company, its vacuum cleaner offers twice the suction than any other robot vacuum in the market. But that’s not all, 360 Vis Nav also provides a new vision and 360-degree navigation system, hence devising the nomenclature.

Dyson also touts that the 360 Vis Nav has a motor speed that has increased up to 110,000 from 78,000 RPM. Operating on 26 different sensors that monitor everything from dust detection to obstacle avoidance, 360 Vis Nav is indeed one of the most powerful vacuum cleaners we’ve seen in recent times.

“Dyson’s 360 Vis Nav features a new, full-width triple-action brush bar: for hard floors, soft ‘Fluffy’ nylon for large debris pick-up and anti-static carbon fiber filaments to remove fine dust, and stiff nylon bristles to dig into carpets,” the company mentions.

Staying competent in the industry, the 360 Vis Nav seamlessly connects to Dyson’s mobile app, which allows for remote and voice control. The MyDyson app also provides deep cleaning reports after each clean. “After its 50 minutes of run-time, the machine will automatically return to its dock to recharge,” Dyson points out.

“Dyson engineers have taken everything we’ve learned from developing our vacuum cleaners, combined it with intelligent software, to develop the Dyson 360 Vis Nav™ – the most powerful intelligent robot vacuum cleaner,” states Jake Dyson, Chief Engineer.

Dyson obviously loves dandling with robots and there is no more apt example of this than the robotic arm prototype the company teased last year. But the UK-based company is much more renowned for its range of appliances than its humanoid robots which still looks like a pipe dream.

Engineered to clean your home more intelligently and effectively, 360 Vis Nav is priced at $1,199 and is available for purchase on Amazon.
