Los Angeles-based studio Feltmark has created a minimally designed solar light that is embedded with motion sensors to illuminate dark on detection of motion. Named Ellum Solar, the smart solar light fabricated with solar panels at the bottom makes it wire free light.

Being an updated version of Ellum, the re-imagined version of solar light is made from solid hardwood and is handcrafted in Los Angeles. Designed to beam 240 lumens of light by using only 1.6 W, the underside hides a huge solar panel and LED diffuser.

For easy adjustment and detaching, the solar light is mounted with concealing neodymium magnets. Fabricated to be energy efficient light, the solar light can work up to 6 month on 1-day charge. Measuring 3.18 x1 x 5.50 inches, the features like motion illumination and ambient lights sensor, makes it an ideal product that can be used as night light or desk lamp.

Offering three different modes, i.e., motion sensor, touch dimmer and lamp only, the solar light is accessible in two colors- American Walnut black and hard white maple. Embodying artisanship and usefulness the wireless and solar charging light is portable in nature and can easily travel with user. Ellum Solar is currently on Kickstarter, and the project has already collected $156,357, where the pledge goal was of $30,000 only.
