Perils of the pandemic have brought the world to a halt. Cooped up at home for longer is only set to increase our misery and melancholy. I am not urging you to move out of your homes but if you are fully vaccinated and desperately want a break from WFH routine, you can rent this off-grid tiny cabin in Australia on Airbnb.

Called Yambara, the cabin is made by eco-accommodation startup EYRE.WAY in collaboration with local designer and builder Duncan Moore. Located in Sleaford Bay, Australia, the cabin lies minutes away from Port Lincoln. If you are a sucker for beauty and beaches, experience the raw and rugged beauty of the Eyre Peninsula at this off-grid tiny cabin.

The place is a paradise for beach lovers with a coastline known for spectacular whale watching and panoramic views, all visible from the luxurious tiny abode. Accommodating up to four people, the 8 x 3m tiny abode is adorned with expansive glazing that allows occupants to fall completely off the grid. Generating most of its energy through solar power, Yambara features its own solar-battery power system that facilitates reverse-cycle air conditioning (power for approximately 7 hours per day), instant gas hot and cold water, bar fridge, and lighting.

The walls and roof of the tiny cabin are clad in metal with spacious interior space accommodating up to four people. Every interior detail has been thoughtfully designed with a minimalist touch to it. The custom-made couch inside is made using vintage oak. The lower level of the cabin comprises a king-size bed, and a double bed on the mezzanine to accommodate more people in case you are traveling with family. The beds feature mattresses that are eco-friendly in nature. Moreover, a cozy, unique, stylist-designed lounger also converts into a double bed if required.

The well-appointed kitchen is packed with a bar fridge, two-burner gas cooktop, full-sized sink and all the utensils and equipment one would require during the stay. It is also a perfect honeymoon destination with cabin featuring a double shower for couples to romance their heart out. Other features include a toilet and handmade Moroccan tiles celebrating the sustainability of craftsmanship. The oversized, double-glazed windows let you enjoy the scenic beauty of the place.

Unfortunately, the cabin is all booked for Christmas, New Year, and the entire month of January, but you can rent the place during the month of February or later on for roughly $320 per night on Airbnb.
