From the pictures, it may look like any ordinary sofa to you but the beauty of the furniture lies in its functionality. Designed by celebrated Italian designer Vico Magistretti, the sofa can be transformed into a small bed easily. All you need to do is remove the metal railing fitted at the back of the sofa and it starts functioning as a decent size bed. And it can even be flat-packed if you need to save interior space.

Magistretti is known for his sleek, high-concept furnishing and that is very evident in the sofa design as well. Made of natural linen and waxed maple, the folding sofa bed is named Ospite, which means guest in Italian. The whole idea behind the design was to create a multifunctional sofa that can become an additional bed for guests. Once the guests are gone, it gets packed into a slim unit that can be stowed away easily.

The Ospite sofa features a polyester padding mattress of cotton covered in orange color. Other than that, it comes with a soft cushion available in yellow or blue color. It measures 74 inches long and 30-inches wide, sufficient enough to accommodate an average height person. On the other hand, it is just five inches thick when packed.
