Ironing clothes is one of the most hassling tasks that needs manual efforts, and that’s why we are continuously seeing creative innovations in the space. Several handheld ironing devices are available in the market, and there are also some hands-free options, including the Launbot by ZERA Lab, which was a massive hit on Kickstarter last year. Following the same approach, Foldryn has launched a similar portable, automated device that dries and dewrinkles clothes in minutes. The device uses an inflatable airbag system in combination with controlled warm airflow to dry and iron garments inside out.
The size of a standard lunchbox, the Foldryn G-2 model is designed to handle both drying and ironing in a single step. You place the wet clothing item onto the specialized hanger unit, and the internal airbag expands to fill the garment’s shape. Thereafter, it uses warm airflow and built-in sensors to dry the clothing and remove wrinkles without damaging it.
The device works by high-speed heated airflow passing through clothes hanging over it to smooth out wrinkles. The drying bag also releases excess heat, making it suitable for all types of fabrics without causing damage. According to the company, lighter fabrics usually take about 30 minutes to dry, while thicker jeans may take 60 minutes or longer.
You can even hang 5-6 freshly washed clothes together in the large air bag to dry and smooth them at once. For faster drying, you can also hang a single item on the white torso or pants bag. While drying, Foldryn also sanitizes clothes with UV light.
The device utilizes dual high-speed motor drives and AI-powered graphene atomic-level heating technology. It boasts a 0.5-second thermal response time, which the maker claims achieves an airflow temperature of 80°C within 1 second, with an accuracy of ±1°C. Each unit offers two modes: Fast mode (80°C) and Normal mode (65°C). There is an onboard digital display that shows modes and common icons, including UV-C, Sterlize, and Timer for operating the device.

Measuring 170x132x48 mm and weighing about 565 grams, the Foldryn G-2 can easily be taken on travel trips in a suitcase. You are provided with a dryer unit, drying bag, and hanger in the Standard Kit, while the Ultimate Kit also includes a torso airbag, pants airbag, and a storage bag with each purchase.
Foldryn’s hands-free clothes dryer is currently seeking funds through Kickstarter. It is getting quite a good response as the super early pledges are already gone, signalling the popularity of such clothes-drying products. You can pre-order the Standard Kit for $99 and the Ultimate Kit for $109 on Kickstarter, with delivery expected in August 2026.
