One aspect that separates a European tiny house from a North American mobile home is that the former is in tune with nature. European tiny house manufacturers place too much emphasis on sustainable practices and a minimalist lifestyle, treating them as core principles rather than trends. Forest tiny house, designed by Polish house builder TinySmartHouse, is a classic example of such philosophy.
Created in collaboration with popular Polish TV host and interior designer Dorota Szelagowska, the Forest tiny house delivers a peaceful, forest-inspired retreat that fits modern lifestyles. Measuring 26 feet long and 8.2 feet wide, the micro-dwelling is surrounded by nature, bringing its beauty inside via giant glazing.
New Atlas notes the dwelling “is currently semi-permanently installed on some rural land.” Corroborating the claim, the owner has opted for a porch rather than a trailer chassis, allowing them to place plenty of furniture outside. The Forest tiny house also includes a rooftop terrace that seems to be a nice place for lounging.
The tiny house features a wooden exterior made of high-quality Scandinavian spruce, while the roof is clad in durable sheet metal. The buidler has insulates the structure with open-cell PUR foam or eco-friendly wood wool, and aluminum-framed double- or triple-glazed windows maximize daylight and thermal performance. Szelagowska’s signature style shines through the warm plywood finishes, thoughtful storage solutions, and large windows that blur the boundary between indoors and nature.
Inside, the layout sleeps up to four people comfortably. The interior comprises two lofts, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Starting with the bedrooms, the two lofts provide sleeping quarters. The main-bedroom loft features a custom mattress and built-in chest of drawers, while the second loft offers flexible space for guests, a home office, or extra storage.

Downstairs is the bright living area furnished with a comfortable sofa bed made from coniferous plywood and equipped with tailored mattresses. Adjacent to the living room is the kitchen. Compact yet fully functional, the kitchen includes an induction cooktop, oven, refrigerator, ceramic sink, and generous plywood cabinetry with wardrobes. Interestingly, the maker has opted for removable ladders and have not included any storage-integrated staircase, which is reminiscent of how old-school tiny houses used to be.
The tiny home also packs a bathroom on one end. Similar to other tiny homes in TinySmartHouse catalog, it maintains a high standard and features a glass-enclosed shower, compact toilet, vanity with cabinet and mirror, corner shelving, and an electric towel warmer. The tiny home relies on standard RV-style hookups for power and water supply needs. There is no word on pricing and availability, but we assume it to cost well-above $80,000.
