The idea of carrying your bed with you might sound a little crazy but Milan-based designer Marc Sadler has made it look simple and logical. He has designed a collection of transforming travel suitcases for Fabbrica Pelletterie Milano (FPM) that go from a small box to full-fledged bed or work desk in no time.

The collection has different models designed for varied purposes like hiding a work desk, full-sized bed or kitchenette. Characterized by the shiny and strong aluminum casing and leather details, all wheeled suitcases from the collection look like a normal luggage but have the capability to become a useful daily object on demand.

From the convertible mini kitchen and mini office to bed, all cases are designed to work on the go. Just place the bag in a flat place and you’re ready to unpack the built-in features.

The Bank Cookstation – which is a new addition to the collection, easily converts into a mini kitchen having a cooktop, fold-out countertop, mini fridge, and drawers. It has built-in power, plug sockets and a folding chair, as per the Lonely Planet magazine.

The Bank Workstation from the collection functions as a portable office with a retractable desk and plenty of storages.

Talking about the folding bed, the Bank Bedstation expands into a comfortable bed complete with a mattress, pillow and a sleeping bag. You can fold it into a luggage when not in use. Measuring 38 x 230 x 86 cm, it weighs about 19.5 kg, which is a little higher than what a person can carry and roam around with.

As expected, such compact travel accessories with transforming feature don’t come in cheap. You need to spend about €4,900 ($5,740) to own the Bank Workstation and €6,900 ($8,050) for the Bank Bedstation.

There’s is no word on pricing and availability of the Bank Cookstation as of now, we’ll keep you posted as soon as new information surfaces.
