Taiwan electrical equipment manufacturer Tomofun has developed Furbo – world’s first dog camera with treat popping system. This perfect dog nanny that looks after your dog when you are out is an interactive dog camera that lets you watch, talk and play with your pets via an mobile app.

Equipped with 120-degree wide angle and night-vision camera, it captures the movement of your furry friends, while the two-way audio communication allows you to communicate with your dog in real time. But, the centerpiece of this product is the treat popping system, which simply pops off the lid and drops your pet their favorite round treat with touch of button on the smartphone.

Designed to sense dog barks, the barking alert on the Furbo sends you a notification so that you can verbally calm them down and reward them with their favorite treat. On the other hand, the smart privacy mode automatically turns off camera when you arrive home.

Made from extra strong plastic and provisioned with 3M adhesive pads, Furbo is rugged and durable enough to withstand what your dog throws at it. Available with a dedicated free mobile app on both App Store and Google Play. The app’s intuitive user interface helps you quickly switch between modes like live streaming, videos, photo capture and night vision.

Scheduled to be released in August this year, Furbo is priced for ¥38,880 (approx. $346). However, from April 1 to 20, Softbank in collaboration with +Style will sell Furbo for ¥19,440 (half of future retail price).
