O2 Treehouse aka O2T has custom built a number of unique structures in recent years, including the newest Blackbird Treehouse in Seattle. The Glazed Perch located in Occidental, California is one of their prized creations. It features ceramic plate shingled roof that not only provides protection from elements but also ensures a mysterious look.

There were two redwood trees on the construction site, which resulted in a two-tree treehouse design that lent itself perfectly to a perch overlooking the valley, O2T told Homecrux. The perch with large picture windows complements the rounded shape of the treehouse immaculately.

The Glazed Perch treehouse is distinguished by multicolored dinner plate shingles on its exterior. These 500 plates were purchased from thrift stores around the Bay Area.

This hobbit-like treetop cabin is accessible via the structural beams seconding as catwalk access. The interior space is rustic and comfortable. There is a fold-out bed, tatami mat, and built-in side tables inside for the guests comfort.

O2T team took about eight months from design to completion and another one month for onsite construction before the entire treehouse could be brought to life.
