We are accustomed to seeing park model homes that flaunt a luxe exterior with multiple porches, a rooftop deck, and an equally elegant interior with a bathtub and high-end appliances. But not every family wants that. Some only want a spacious interior, a durable exterior, and an appliance package, decent enough for downsizing. One home that promises all of the above in a curtailed package is the Hacienda tiny house.

Measuring 44 feet long and 11.8 feet wide, the Hacienda features a durable exterior with board-and-batten siding and a metal roof. A small covered porch offers a sheltered entryway to the home and can be outfitted with a chair or two.

A semi-glass door leads into an interior that includes a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. Windows run through every space, keeping the interior bright and letting air move through freely. The living room is big enough to fit a large sofa and a center table, though the builders have left it empty for now, leaving customization to the dweller’s discretion.

The living room and kitchen share an open layout, so kitchen cabinets face the sofa and double as storage. Other features include overhead cabinets, a double sink, and appliances that range from a refrigerator and microwave to an oven.

The tiny house also includes a main-floor bedroom, roomy enough to sleep two and equipped with a closet. The bathroom, generously sized by tiny house standards, offers a glass-enclosed shower, toilet, vanity sink, and several storage cubbies for extra space.

The base price of the Hacienda tiny house is $61,000. The dwelling is currently available through RRC Athens. Notably, the fully furnished version with add-on appliances and furniture will cost more. For water and electricity, the tiny house depends on a standard RV-style hookup.
