It was almost a decade back when HEIMPLANET launched its first-ever tent. Since there has been no turning back for the German camping gear manufacturer that has made multiple tents including the Cave XL weatherproof tent which was launched in collaboration with Icelandic outerwear brand 66 North, earlier this year.

The biggest challenge most tent manufacturers face is to strike a subtle balance between comfort and efficiency right. HEIMPLANET was up for the challenge and introduced an all-season tent dubbed Kirra. The two-person tent carries a footprint of 5.2 m² and weighs only 3.8 kg.

The inner tent is quite spacious for campers and also provides an awning for storing the equipment. There are several sewn-in pockets inside the tent to store smaller essentials. Furthermore, there is a removable compartment under the roof for additional storage. Thanks to this great weight-to-space ratio, the two-person inflatable tent strikes the right balance between space and requirement.

The geodesic design helps the tent stay erect against the high winds making it really fine camping gear for an adventure gig even in a light storm. Another aspect that makes it reliable is the new version of Inflatable Diamond Grid (IDG) that uses the struts of the airframe efficiently. The result is a stable tent with less weight and an easy setup.

Kirra has multiple ventilation options that allow smooth air circulation. HEIMPLANET mentions the Flysheet, which normally reaches the ground and can be adjusted in height using elastic hooks. In combination with additional closable upper vents, the chimney effect can be attained to enhance air circulation.
