Making something by yourself not only saves you money but also gives you an opportunity to use your imagination to create useful things for home. If you are looking for an easy DIY craft, here is a cool project you can pursue – a concrete planter stand.

All you need to build this DIY concrete planter stand is a plastic bucket, wood dowel rods, masking tape, water, and fast-set concrete mix. The process starts with cutting equal size dowel rods for legs. Mark the filling line in the bucket and fill with concrete mix and water. Stir the concrete mixture until it’s mixed well. Remove air bubbles by gently tapping the bucket on a solid flat floor.

Now is the time to place wood dowels in the middle of the bucket and set on the sides. Secure dowels on the sides of the bucket with masking tape. Once dowels are dry, remove the stool carefully. Sand the concrete top thoroughly for a smooth finish, and your planter stand is ready.

It’s ideal for outdoors, however, you can also place it indoors to add an industrial touch to your home interior.
