In middle of magnificent snow covered landscape of Jukkasjarvi village in Sweden, there is one striking ephemeral castle- IceHotel. Carved in the ice, this unique hotel is recreated every year in winter to welcome about 50,000 visitors. Every winter various creative artists from all over the world come together to carve an exotic building in ice. Likewise, this winter the hotel has welcomed 42 artists from 11 different countries to celebrate its 25th anniversary and redesign the building with a whole new concept.

The hotel consists of several extraordinary rooms and suites renovated with exquisite ice sculptures on walls, floors and furnishings. Moreover, in every room you can see a bed of ice that is lined with thick reindeer hides as bed coverings and blankets. So, you’ll feel cozy while lying on these comfy resting platforms. In spite of being a snowy structure, atmosphere inside the building is quite warm. However, it’s highly recommended to wear thick winter clothes all the time.

Apart from unusual bedroom designs, the hotel even features huge event hall, bar area and open space where workshop for the ice sculpting is organized for guests to learn ice designing. Both inner and outer walls are designed with various encrypted patterns and quotes. Several lighting fixtures are also added to enhance pleasant atmosphere of the interior.

The IceHotel offers you totally different experience like no other place in the world. You might have stayed in places close to snowy mountain ranges or inside an igloo, but staying in such luxurious ice clad hotel is not something ordinary. The hotel is open from December to April and range of different rooms start from $300 per night. Since the hotel melts and has to be rebuilt each year, so every year it is reshaped and redesigned, giving returning visitors a completely new place.
