The famous Swedish furniture manufacturer is progressively expanding in the audio segment. The company has previously launched speakers in collaboration with Sonos and is again back with a portable audio product. Named VAPPEBY, it is a portable Bluetooth speaker that comes with Spotify integration.
You just tap a button on the speaker and the music starts streaming from wherever you left off. If you tap once again, it plays a different song according to your taste. The Spotify Tap playback is the main feature that makes it different from normal Bluetooth speakers.
Designed by Sarah Fager, the IKEA VAPPEBY Bluetooth speaker is meant for outdoor use. It has a rechargeable battery, IP65 resistance, and a built-in lamp that can provide a pleasant glow for garden parties or balcony dinners.
The IKEA portable lamp speaker delivers 360-degree sound which means the music reaches all directions – no matter its position. There is also a sleek handle to easily carry the speaker lamp. It has all features one would require in an outdoor speaker and it also benefits by serving as a lamp.
