We generally consider vacuum cleaners for cleaning and mopping the floor, and when they are off duty, we put them in charge of cleaning the upholstered sofas, carpets, or, at times, even the beds. What we often overlook in the process are two things: first, not all vacuum cleaners can clean upholstery or mattress fabric, and second, there are specialized vacs designed and optimized for it. One of the better names in the business is Jigoo.

Jigoo recently updated its lineup of mattress-cleaning vacuums with the launch of the J300 Pro, which is currently available at 25 percent off for Women’s Day. The Jigoo J300 Pro mattress vacuum cleaner is especially designed to deliver deep mattress cleaning, along with real-time mite detection and dust mite removal.

What’s so tricky about cleaning a mattress? Why wouldn’t any powerful vacuum cleaner do the job? Usually, a mattress looks clean, but it can still be hiding a lot more than what you’d expect. Beneath your bedsheet on that mattress and well within its fabric reside dust mites, bacteria, and fine allergens. While the other vacs find it difficult to clean through the dense layers of foam and stiff stitching, and end up cleaning superficially, the specialized ones like the J300 Pro, clean thoroughly, digging out even the finest allergens that have settled deep within the mattress fabric with high-frequency vibration and powerful suction.

Mattress hygiene tends to require a different approach than standard vacuuming. Suction alone doesn’t always do the job when particles are embedded in fibers, and without some form of agitation or proper filtration, much of that dust and allergens can stay trapped or even circulate back into the air. J300 Pro, or its predecessor and fan favorite J300 mattress vacuum cleaner, for that matter, are mattress-focused cleaning devices that treat the problem more like a system. They combine agitation, consistent suction, and sanitation methods like UV-C or heat instead of relying on airflow alone.

To that accord, the Jigoo J300 Pro mattress vacuum cleaner is purpose-built for beds, sofas, and upholstery. It comes with a dual-cup filtration system, which helps separate fine dust and allergens from larger debris to prevent clogging and maintain consistent suction. This allows the vac to ensure deeper, more hygienic cleaning without having to get your hands dirty or toil unnecessarily.

To carry out its intended job, Jigoo provides the J300 Pro with ultra-far infrared heating functionality and allows the vacuum cleaner to penetrate deep into the mattress or sofa fabric. “Combined with UV light, ultrasonic vibration, and 60℃ hot air, it disrupts mite habitats, reduces allergens, and keeps your sleeping environment healthier,” the company website notes.

J300 Pro features a brushroll comprising a metal body and silicone strips (upgraded from the predecessor), and is powered by a 550W motor, allowing the vacuum to generate up to 14 kPa of suction power to thoroughly clean mattresses, sofas, and other fabric surfaces. With 14KPa suction power and 48,000 high-frequency taps per minute, it can quickly loosen and remove dust and mites from the surface you’re cleaning.

An onboard digital display keeps you constantly updated about the mite levels in real time, while its botanical aroma sheet allows the vacuum to release a natural fragrance during the cleaning routine, neutralizing odors and refreshing the fabric it cleans. The 1.85kg vacuum cleaner is $124.99 on Amazon, with the compatriot, J300, setting you back roughly $94.

Just for comparison, the J300 mattress vacuum cleaner also features a similar 500W motor to generate 13Kpa of suction power. Designed to remove dust and pet hair from fabric, the vacuum is slightly easier on the task since its metal brushroll taps at only 12,000 times per minute. It, however, works effectively at keeping filtration and dust storage separate thanks to its dual-cup design. Unlike the J300 Pro, which blows sanitizing hot air at 60℃, the J300 mite cleaner blows 55℃ hot air to dehumidify your mattress and create the necessary hygienic sleeping space.
