Normally, Boeing 747 airliners haul passengers from one destination to the other, it is not usual to see them grounded and still being flocked by people. Jumbo Stay hotel in the periphery of an unused Stockholm-Arlanda Airport runway is one such example. The former airliner commissioned by entrepreneur Oscar Dios is first of its kind airplane to be morphed into a luxury hotel with modern rooms and all facilities one can think of.

There are 33 rooms and 76 beds in the hotel that overlook the cityscape and offer a close-up view of the airport on one side. The hotel comprises dorm rooms with single bunk beds and standard double bed while the cockpit and double bed suites are the most coveted options to go for. 

The original cockpit elements like rudder pedals, flight controls, thrust levers, and fuel switches and other things which have been beautifully fused with the modern day facilities.

It took almost 2 years to renovate the airliner to be a comfortable staying option for travelers. There a VIP lounge on the second level of the hotel which is a great place to chill out. The hotel staff serves the guests in steward clothing which is understandable by with the theme. 

Spending a night at this unique hotel, nestled in the cozy hospitality, is going to be a different experience altogether.

The suites cost around 1450 SEK (~ $156) to 1850 SEK (~ $199) while the standard rooms will set you back 700 SEK (~ $75) to 1200 SEK (~ $130).
