South Korean designer June Woo Lee has designed the Afford Chair for public places where the customer needs a safe place to keep his/her belongings. This innovative chair design creatively includes a dedicated storage compartment underneath the seat.

It is a very clever chair concept that makes use of the weight of the body of the person sitting on it to keep the storage box locked. You just put your belongings such as coats, purses, etc. into the box and sit over it so that no one can even touch it. Furthermore, the chair is also designed to hang various items like handbags.

The seat of the chair opens up for storing belongings and goes back to its position after use. Another highlight of the Afford Chair is its back legs that are tilted forward to prevent fallback with the weight of the stored items. There are sled-type felt glides on the foot that reduce the chances of any unpleasant sound.

This anti-theft chair seems ideal for restaurants, hotels, and waiting lounges.
