At times, we start with little alteration and end up with a complete overhaul, just because we demand perfection. Something similar happed with Kardokus Residence atop the Magnolia in Seattle, Washington. A modification, which began with adding a second story to the building ended with a complete revision of the home to meet client’s need. Enhancing upon the confined residence, Urbanadd architecture and design firm has designed the Kardokus Residence into a Prairie-style home.

Drawing cues from classic Prairie-style Architecture, the Kardokus Residence has long roof overhangs in addition to horizontal banding, fashionable massing and a nice pallet of Pacific Northwest material. The 3 bedroom home opens towards the Elliott Bay providing an enchanting view outside from its luxurious confines. The house makes great use of cedar wood and cantilevered stairs are well stationed to move residents comfortably to all 3 floors and terrace. There is no information on the green credentials of the residence.
