What makes a tiny home elevate from good to great? This is a question every tiny house manufacturer tries to answer with their respective build. While there are some manufacturers who love playing with the entire layout, others resort to the core philosophy they have been following for many years. Baluchon is one such tiny house manufacturer that doesn’t tweak much with the core architecture but makes subtle changes in its design. Kejadenn is the latest tiny house on wheels by the French tiny house builders and it is impressive as usual, despite minute changes in its interior.
Kajedenn, which translates to ‘meeting’ in English is made for Guy, Gwenaëlle, and their daughter Orlane. “The family lives year-round in a larger house, so the tiny house will serve as secondary accommodation and will have to travel from time to time,” Baluchon mentions. Finished in solid oak with red cedar cladding, and coated in aluminum trays with standing seams, the 20 feet tiny house features two separate bedrooms on the same loft, which is not a common phenomenon in tiny houses.
Kajedenn actually has a total of three beds in total. There is a double bed that accommodates two, and a fireside chair that can be unfolded to serve as an additional bed and sleep an additional person. Furthermore, there is a sofa bed on the ground floor that can accommodate up to two people with ease. Overall, the tiny house sleeps five people, at the most.
The exterior of the Kajedenn aims to be contemporary and the interior is light-filled as usual, courtesy of double-glazing doors that allow sunlight to pass in and keep the interior as airy and bright as possible. Upon entering inside, you are graced with a coffee table with an oak top which is right in front of the sofa bed. Then there is a 1000w electric heater that will keep the occupants warm during winter.
On the opposite side of the living room is the kitchen, which has plenty of equipment and storage space. There are two oak worktops that will come to your assistance and help you work without cluttering the entire area. The kitchen also features an oven and sink. While I can’t spot a dishwasher and fridge/freezer, I assume it to be there. There is also a small table that can serve three people at a time and can be folded down to free up space if necessary. Adjacent to the table is a small removable ladder that will take you to the loft section which we already discussed above.

In addition, there is a large wardrobe between the kitchen and the bathroom for the family can store clothes during their stays in the tiny house. Talking of bathroom, it features a dry toilet with stainless steel bucket and shavings compartment. There is also a washbasin unit and a shower. There is no word on the price yet, but it must be around $70,000, considering the brand’s history.
