La Maisonette Lavande is not a usual name you would come across on the internet. However, this French moniker is garnering attention on social media nowadays. This is possible courtesy of Decathlon Tiny Homes, a Texas-based tiny house firm that has recently completed its brand new Athena model dubbed La Maisonette Lavande tiny house on wheels, which translates to ‘The Little Lavender House’ in English.

Known for their durability and longevity, the mobile homes by Decathlon Tiny Homes are of supreme quality, and La Maisonette Lavande is no different. Poised on a triple-axle trailer, the tiny house is finished in Smart Siding exterior with F-Wave roofing. Like other Athena models, La Maisonette Lavande is another testament to great design innovation featuring a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, living room on the main floor, and a secondary room/storage area in the loft.

Visitors enter the 28-foot-long tiny house via an outswing door into the living room. Decathlon Tiny Homes likes keeping the living room open and empty for dwellers to personalize the space. So, there is nothing unique one can expect here. A little ahead is the main-floor bedroom of the house. Accessed via a sliding barn door, the bedroom features a custom bed platform with storage drawers. Other features include a custom wardrobe with drawers.

This is not the sole bedroom in the house. La Maisonette Lavande tiny house also has a loft area that can be utilized as a secondary bedroom. However, since it doesn’t feature any safety railing and can only be reached via a removable ladder; I’d recommend it as a storage loft. Another essential component of any tiny house is its bathroom. La Maisonette Lavande features a bathroom below the loft. The bathroom is fully functional and spacious with a glass-enclosed shower, toilet, vanity with sink, and washer/dryer combo.

It’s a pity that I do not have much to talk to about the kitchen. Decathlon hasn’t accoutered the kitchen with any outstanding features and kept it pretty regular. The kitchen includes a fridge, microwave, electric cooktop, plus loads of cabinetry. Another impressive element of the house is its numerous windows and two skylights allowing air inside and adding aesthetic to the home.
