However, the best one of them all has to LEGO’s makeover of this stunning masterpiece. The LEGO Group and the Belvedere Museum in Vienna have unveiled the largest LEGO Art Masterpiece to ever exist: Gustav Klimt – The Kiss.
This isn’t LEGO’s first foray into turning the world’s most famous artworks into immersive building sets. Just last year, Van Gogh’s painting Sunflowers got the LEGO treatment. The LEGO Art Gustav Klimt – The Kiss is a 4,000-piece set that lets us art nerds recreate the celebrated painting.
Discover the golden age of art with the new set that is a striking three-dimensional tribute to the painting. Inspired by Klimt’s most celebrated artwork The Kiss, the brick set captures every detail, emotion, ornamentation, and bright palette. Through meticulous detail, it becomes an immersive creative experience that blends art, design, and mindful building.
The set authentically recreated Klimt’s signature style using layered textures and details, paying homage to Klimt’s symbolism, ornamentation, and artistic techniques. It features intricate circles, spirals, flowers, metallic gold elements and familiar LEGO studs, all coming together to depict the memorable embracing couple in ornate tactile form.

Speaking about the design process, Milan Madge, Master Model Designer at the LEGO Group, said that recreating Klimt’s The Kiss in LEGO brick form was certainly a creative challenge. However, the team managed to “capture its rich textures, golden tones, and intricate detail while honouring the original masterpiece.”
Considering the inspiration source, the set doesn’t come cheap. The LEGO Art Gustav Klimt – The Kiss (31221) is priced at $299.99, and is available for LEGO Insiders Early Access from August 1, 2026. It will be available for all from August 4.
