If you are a Lego enthusiast, adding some substance to your living room should not be much of an ordeal. You just need some spare time, dedication and an eye for design just like Los Angles-based art director Yusong Zhang. The simple yet stylish looking Lego coffee table is ideal for any kind of home interior – be it a contemporary one or something that is inspired by boxy design.

Talking about the table, it took Yusong more than 10,000 Lego bricks (2×4 blocks) to construct this table which measures approximately two feet tall and four feet wide. Lego blocks are joined together in such a way that the table has structural strength and eye-pleasing design. As for the distinct look it bears, there is a white layer of Lego bricks on the outside followed by red, yellow and green layers.

Yusong Zhang about his design –

I always had love for Lego as a toy, but wanted to challenge myself to build something truly functional without sacrificing the aesthetic and creativity that’s rooted in Lego designs. That’s how the coffee table idea was born.

On the inside, this table is hollow to provide enough space for keeping stuff.

You can put up your custom-build request by mailing to the designer or even better make one yourself as a fun weekend project.
