CES 2026 hasn’t officially kicked off yet, but LG Electronics is already generating significant attention among tech enthusiasts. The company has unveiled a stunning Gallery TV, teased a humanoid robot, and announced its new Micro RGB lineup (including the flagship Micro RGB evo TV). This morning, LG announced that it will be expanding its hugely popular XBOOM by will.i.am portable speaker series with a fresh lineup of AI-enhanced models, all set to roll out globally in 2026.
First reported by Engadget, the expanded lineup includes the XBOOM Stage 501, XBOOM Blast, XBOOM Mini, and XBOOM Rock, building on the foundation laid by earlier models like the Stage 301, Bounce, and Grab. As per the company’s press release, “These new models are built for parties and adventures, in and outside the home.”
The biggest USP of the new lineup is AI-driven personalization, complemented by powerful audio performance, long battery life, and versatile designs that adapt to various scenarios. At the forefront is the XBOOM Stage 501, a party-centric speaker equipped with advanced karaoke features. Powered by deep learning from over 10,000 songs, the AI Karaoke Master “can remove or adjust vocals from virtually any song and even adjust the pitch, letting users sing solo, duet with the artist, or keep vocals low if they are feeling shy, all without special files or subscriptions,” the company mentions.
Delivering up to 220W of power (160W on battery), the speaker features dual woofers, full-range drivers, Peerless tweeters, and a five-sided cabinet for flexible positioning, allowing for vertical, horizontal, tilted, or tripod use. It offers up to 25 hours of playback with a swappable 99Wh battery, along with AI Sound for automatic EQ adjustments, AI Lighting that syncs multicolored effects to the music, and Space Calibration Pro to optimize sound based on the environment.
Another intriguing addition to the XBOOM lineup is that of XBOOM Blast. The outdoor speaker provides rugged durability with military-standard protection, edge bumpers, a side rope handle, and a rubber top grip. It boasts an impressive 35 hours of playback on its 99Wh battery and 220W output enhanced by three passive radiators for expansive sound.
Next, we have XBOOM Mini. Compact in shape and size, the speaker is tailor-made to be placed in kitchens, patios, or carried on the go. It delivers up to 10 hours of battery life, IP67 water and dust resistance, and a Magic Strap for easy placement. Not to mention, a built-in tripod mount, and Sound Field Enhance for clear audio in open spaces. Rounding out the series is the XBOOM Rock, an upgraded rugged model with 6W power, 10 hours of playback, and testing to seven military standards. It includes Sound Field Enhance and LE Audio Auracast support for seamless music sharing.
