It is becoming clear that display manufacturers are aggressively competing to eliminate human-perceived motion blur to meet the demands of high-end gamers. Brands like Philips and AOC have introduced 1000Hz-class monitors using a “dual-mode” approach, where gamers need to sacrifice image sharpness to achieve maximum speed. However, LG Electronics seems to be taking the lead in clarity with its latest UltraGear 25G590B, which runs at 1000Hz in native 1080p Full HD resolution by default. This removes the need for gamers to compromise image sharpness for ultra-fast performance.
With a combination of a 1000Hz refresh rate and a 24.5-inch display, the new LG UltraGear 25G590B is suitable specifically for first-person shooter (FPS) games. This configuration helps players track opponents and scan in-game environments efficiently. The IPS panel with a low-reflection film maximizes viewing angles and reduces glare for the best viewing experience.
The new UltraGear monitor uses LG’s signature feature called Motion Blur Reduction Pro to make moving objects look clearer during gameplay. In fast-paced games, objects and enemies can appear blurry when they move quickly across the screen, and this is where this technology comes into play. It reduces the blur level to make chaotic action look sharper and easier to follow. As a result, players can track fast movement more easily, spot opponents faster, and stay focused during competitive gaming sessions.
The 25G590B gaming monitor also includes built-in AI gaming features that enhance both visuals and audio for a more immersive experience. Its AI Scene Optimization automatically adjusts picture settings based on the game genre to improve realism and depth, while AI Sound delivers clearer spatial audio and better in-game voice communication when used with compatible headsets.

The monitor comes with a simple and modern stand that not only looks clean but also takes up less desk space. The compact base provides gamers with more room to move their mouse freely during gameplay. The stand also includes markings or indicators that help users adjust the height, swivel, and tilt accurately. Additionally, the monitor features customizable UltraGear Emblem lighting, which gives the monitor a stylish gaming look.
The LG UltraGear 25G590B is expected to launch in select markets in the second half of 2026, with wider availability expanding to more regions later in the year.
