Earlier this year, French electronic music duo Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk had made a quite good performance at the GRAMMYs, where they also announced a pop-up shop in Los Angeles, offering coolest Daft Punk products. Over again, they are back with a holiday collection that includes a glow globe, Christmas ornaments, puzzle and lots more — all made in partnership with creative artisans. With Christmas around the corner, we’ll be focusing the Limited Edition glass ornaments that are inspired by the Daft Punk Discovery-era robot helmets.

These Christmas ornaments in shape of the iconic Discovery-era helmets are glass blown from hand sculpted forms and are electroplated in gold and silver lacquer respectively. They are available in a set of ornaments – each measuring 75mm tall, 75mm wide and 100mm deep. Both are tiny replicas of Daft Punk’s techy Discovery Era helmets. If you’re a die-hard fan of Daft Punk, they would be great to revive the forgotten memories this Christmas. The Limited Edition Discovery-era Christmas ornament set is available for US$45 at the official website of Daft Punk.

The duo has started wearing the Discovery-era robotic helmets from late 90’s to early 00’s. Credit of creating these helmets goes to the now defunct LED specialist company LED FX, although, there are some assumptions that they were made by special effects company Alterian Inc. At that time, both helmets featured intricate displays capable of displaying text, and synced images and patterns according to music.
