Some people may say the tiny house movement is a fad, however, amid hate and skepticism, the industry has blossomed like lotus in mud. Although the industry has been going big recently – both in configuration and prices – the fact remains that tiny houses have liberated many people from the shackles of the unaffordable housing situation. Today, we bring you a fairly well-priced, 26 ft. tiny house that exudes cozy, modern cottage vibes. The Maverick tiny house on wheels is the eponymous model designed by Ohio-based builder Maverick Tiny Homes.
The Maverick sits on the smaller side of the industry, yet it manages to capture the essence of downsized living rather impeccably. Built on a triple-axle trailer, the compact dwelling offers three layout options wherein you get the choice of different interior plans, including one loft bedroom, two loft bedrooms, and ground-floor bedroom selections. Two of the layouts even provide a cozy fireplace setup in the living room to keep the dwelling warm and toasty during the colder months.
The custom-built abode features LP SmartSide board and batten siding, and a split roof style. Featuring dual entry points, the interior encompasses a living room, a big kitchen, a huge bathroom, and a loft bedroom. One of the entrances opens into the kitchen, while the big French doors – which take up an entire end – open into the living room.
The living room has a fireplace to keep the temperature mild during winter. It has plenty of space for a sofa bed to provide additional accommodation, if needed. A complete kitchen takes the center space of the house and features a farmhouse sink, an electric oven and stove, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, wooden countertops, and loads of under-counter cabinets to house cooking essentials. Two skylights allow you to cook under the stars at night.

From the kitchen, a galley leads to the bathroom and loft stairs with storage. In one of the other layouts, the ground floor bedroom is located instead of the stairs. The bathroom has a typical flush toilet, a large shower cabin, a vanity sink, and a washer-dryer unit.
The loft overhead provides sleeping space for two people. The queen-size bed is flanked by windows and two closets. Perfect as a full-time dwelling, the Maverick tiny house will cost you $94,000 with basic necessities. However, the dwelling is highly customizable and can be upgraded with numerous options for an additional price.
