The Australian tiny house industry has cracked the code to live large in a tiny house. Aussie builders have slightly deviated from the pillars on which the industry was built – affordability and compact footprint – to provide luxurious micro-dwellings in which you can settle down and build a life. One such luxury tiny house on wheels comes from Victoria-based Williamstown North’s Treehab. Its Melaleuca tiny house is a 36-foot-long dwelling with spacious, private bedrooms, giant picture windows, and multiple loft options.

The Melaleuca tiny house is highly customizable to suit the needs of a varied clientele. Staying true to its maker’s goal of offering a luxurious home in a relatively compact footprint, the Maleleuca comes with a big living area, a central galley kitchen, a full-size bathroom, a separate toilet room, a private bedroom, a loft bedroom, and plenty of storage options.

The micro-dwelling has two entrances with double sliding doors, one opening into the living area, the other into the master bedroom. Its board and batten and metal cladding on the exterior offer a weather-proof construction, perfect for permanent residence.

An abundance of windows, along with the glass doors, keeps the interior well-lit and well-ventilated. As you enter through the main door, on the left is the living area, flowing into the galley-style kitchen in the center.

The kitchen has an island with storage anchoring the space, while an L-shaped countertop area offers plenty of room for appliances and everyday cooking. The island can also double as a dining space with stackable chairs or stools. It further includes room for a full-size refrigerator, range hood, oven, four-burner cooktop, under-counter and overhead cabinet, and pantry.

Past the kitchen is a bathroom and a storage-integrated staircase. The bathroom is divided into two sections. The vanity sink and the shower cabin are put into one room, while another includes a toilet. You can put a washer/dryer unit underneath the sink countertop. Opposite the bathroom section is more storage for everyday and seasonal essentials.

On the other end of the house is the master bedroom. It comes with a full wardrobe and a king-size bed, flanked by nightstands. The room has its own private entrance with a sliding double glass door, pouring in plenty of natural light.

Overhead is the loft bedroom. It extends above the bathroom and the master bedroom, making room for bedding and a small office nook if you prefer. The loft can fit a king-size mattress or twin beds. Pricing starting at AUD219,990 (roughly $159,500), the Melaleuca tiny house can be customized according to your particular needs. This might be your sign to begin your downsizing journey in a luxury package.
