The Mi Casita tiny house by Columbus, Ohio-based builder Modern Tiny Living is relatively spacious when compared with other mid-sized dwellings designed in recent times. Poised on a triple-axle trailer, the tiny house measures 26 feet in length and boasts so many beautiful features including the Hardie panels (colored in Autumnal) and LP Smartside Trim (colored in Oceanside) exterior, which might remind you of classic Latin American houses. The tiny house is outfitted with a myriad of windows that not only allow light and air to pass in but also add warmth and beauty to the structure.

The towable home offers a well-proportioned interior layout. The first thing you will find upon entering is a compact living room and a first-floor master bedroom. This has been a rarity in dwellings designed by Modern Tiny Living (MTL) since it is known for accoutering the space with an elevated living room that doubles as a secondary bedroom.

With the Mi Casita tiny house, MTL tried a different approach and squeezed the living room into one nook of the house. The living room features a small storage-integrated sofa and a dining table that can be repositioned or brought to use as a work desk. Given the space constraint, the builder opted for an unfussy layout that suited the smaller space.

Adjacent to the living room is the custom frosted glass door that conceals the main-floor bedroom of the house. The bedroom contains a custom built-in wood platform bed, a custom soffit wall with open shelving, and a ceiling fan to keep the air flowing. Sleeping two people at max, the bedroom is cozy and offers privacy to the dweller.

Nearby is the colorful kitchen, which is dominated by a countertop, numerous cabinets, and a gaggle of appliances, each sufficient to offer functionality to the full-time dwellers. Some notable highlights of the kitchen include blue finished cabinets that add character to the home, a microwave placed beneath the storage-integrated staircase, a cooktop, and a refrigerator.

The kitchen connects to the bathroom. Unlike traditional tiny home bathrooms, the Mi Casita’s bathroom is comparatively spacious and fits a bathtub, a toilet, and a stacked washer/dryer unit. It is so gorgeous that the maker says, “The spa-like bath in this tiny home is a gem, featuring a custom solid-wood door entry, free-standing tub with shower, a standard flush toilet, and gorgeous honeycomb shower side walls in a teal color that pops.”

There are two bedrooms in the Mi Casita tiny house. Other than the main-floor bedroom, the secondary bedroom is reached by a storage-integrated staircase. Flaunting a typical low-ceiling design, the bedroom sleeps a couple.
