Tiny houses offer unreserved freedom to those who don’t like to be tied down. To that accord, California-based Piccola Tiny Homes has designed its Minuet tiny house for a no-nonsense bachelor who loves to travel and doesn’t want clutter in his home or life. The Minuet is 24-foot-long and 8.5-foot-wide and provides free-flowing 196 square feet.

Although it comes with a price tag of $134,900, the liberty and amenities packed in this road-legal micro-dwelling more than make up for it. The exterior is clad in cedar and metal siding dotted with multiple windows pouring in light and warmth. The split-roof profile adds to the charm of the Minuet.

Inside, a single-floor layout with open spaces makes it feel larger than it is. A queen-size bed on a high-raised platform with storage drawers underneath is reached via a set of three steps.

A storage-integrated couch is placed next to the bed. Opposite it is a wall-mounted television with a versatile desk underneath, small storage cubbies, and a large closet.

Past the living space is an apartment-sized kitchen with a large skylight overhead. It features a two-burner integrated cooktop, compact prep space, a stainless steel sink, a range hood, a microwave, and storage space. On the other side is a full refrigerator, with a cabinet above.

The bathroom at the end of the house is spacious. It has a shower cabin, a toilet, a large vanity sink, a washer/dryer unit neatly hooked under the countertop, and a cabinet. Another cabinet is installed overhead, while room for a large closet is created.

The Minuet tiny house could be a bachelor’s pad or a lover’s nest. It allows the freedom to tow the house where you desire. The house gets power from a standard RV-style hookup and has standard heating and air conditioning.
